Lara Fourie: Co-founder / Lead Designer

The Goodspace’s lead designer and co-founder, Lara attributes her passion for the business as her combined passion for business and her love for stylish homes and furniture.

An enthusiastic world traveller, Lara draws her design inspiration from the different countries and cultures she has visited and experienced. She curates the best local and international elements and experiences, and translates them into fresh, bespoke designs for her discerning clients.

Lara and her creative team focus on high-end luxury interior designs. “Our aim is to create spaces in your home that gives you the same feeling and emotions as a visit to your favourite 5-star hotel. We create spaces where you can relax and get lost in the beauty around you.”

“Often a particular moment will influence my design. I sometimes find myself paging through a magazine, or visiting a new restaurant, or seeing something on Pinterest and then I think: ‘I know exactly how I can use this’ – then from there on the rest of the design just flows.”

Malcolm Fourie: Co-founder / Project Director and Coordinator

Co-founder of The Goodspace, Malcolm, has over eight years’ project management experience in the architectural industry. As project management consultant for SBE Africa Architects, he has worked closely with their clients, helping them to source and appoint the most suitable professional contractors for their luxury residential projects. These included land surveyors, engineers, energy efficiency consultants and building contractors.

Over the years, Malcolm has built up a strong stable of reliable service providers of specialist finishes, such as glass and aluminium windows & doors, floating staircases, designer kitchens, home theatres, wine cellar rooms, landscaping, and smart home automation. His areas of expertise include project coordination and management, payment certificates, negotiation of architectural finishes, building program management, quality control and health and safety.

Malcolm is a SMART Home integration specialist focused on energy efficiency, automation, security, utilities, and remote security monitoring. He has completed projects in luxury residential estates such as Steyn City, Serengeti, Eye of Africa, Waterfall Equestrian Estate, Helderfontein Estate and Blue Hills Equestrian Estate.

Naelly specializes in space planning, client coordination and presentation facilitation. Known for her calm nature, she brings clarity and a thoughtful approach to every project, ensuring a smooth and collaborative client experience.

Kaylee Tennant: Design Intern

Kaylee is a dedicated intern currently studying interior design. She is a hardworking and diligent team member with a strong passion for design, bringing a fresh and thoughtful perspective to our studio.

Melandri Strydon: Office & Workflow Manager

Melandri plays a key role in leading projects and coordinating the team. She oversees the workflow, guiding our clients through the process and ensures that there is a clear communication across all stages.
